Body:
|
BOUNTY HUNTER (UK). Bottom 12" removed and return lip added. Bolted to subframe using stainless steel allen bolts with 25mm ally spreader strip.

Floorpan/Chassis:
|
1971 Volkswagen Beetle 1300. New floorpans and framehead fitted. Shortened to 80" wheelbase. Custom made box/tube section subframe welded to floorpan. Pan edges trimmed back for neatness. M8 Riv-Nuts fitted to top tube of subframe to bolt body down to. Steering column mounting hoop attached to subframe. 2"x2" box section seat mountings with 1'' spreader strips under floor.

Suspension:

FRONT:
New adjustable front axle beam, balljoints, standard shocks.

Steering:
|
Standard
Beetle steering box and column, with custom made upper and lower steering
column mounts. Mountney 13" woodrim steering wheel and boss.

Brakes:
|
Fully refurbished dual circuit system, drums all round.
|
|
Wheels/Tyres:
|
6x15" Wolfrace Slotmags, with 195/60/15 Front and 275/65/15 Rear tyres.

Electrics:
|
Stock VW wiring loom, shortened and tested. Additional 7 core loom running parallel. Snap fit connectors to allow easy removal. Stock VW switchgear. Sealed beam Mini headlights. Pontiac rear lights. Lucas front (clear lensed) and rear (amber lensed) indicator units. Standard Bosch dynamo/ regulator. Battery fitted in fibreglass battery box over gearbox. Independent earth wires from each electrical item to chassis.

AD series engine, fitted with 1641 cc Mahle barrels & pistons. Standard twin port heads. Standard Solex carb. 009 dizzy. Heat exchangers and chromed dual zoom exhausts. Aftermarket air and breather filters. Chrome pulley guard.

Gearbox:

Stock, refurbished 1300 swingaxle with urethane mounts. Quick shift kit.

Interior:
|
Bernard Newbury Empi seats. Moon piston switch knobs and gear knob. Red and black rot-proof carpets. Diamond point aluminium dash panel.

Stainless steel fittings throughout.
